There’s nothing more intimate than a custom portrait…

Very occasionally, I open up my studio to accept commissions. I love to take on these special projects because they’re so inspiring — and because they make lovely, romantic gifts for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries… whether you’re gifting a portrait to a partner or to yourself (the ultimate in self love).

Commissioners can choose between a timeless graphite and chalk drawing on tonal paper (9x12 inches) or a classic charcoal drawing on textured archival paper (11x14 inches). I also love working with charcoals on antique paper. Let me know if this aesthetic best fits your vibe.

I provide a “model pose sheet” to help walk you through capturing reference images. This guide makes submitting photos for custom artwork easy and fun! I’m eager to talk through photos with my clients, making sure to capture what’s most important to them and to hear the meaningful stories that inspire these commissions.

Commissions are open to all genders, of course, and you’re also welcome to gift the experience if you wish.

Each custom drawing is priced at $1,000, with a 50% deposit required to get started. Once I receive your photos, the turnaround time on your custom artwork is about two weeks. We’ll stay in close touch throughout the process. You need only email me to get the process started.
