I painted a nude on this antique engraving of the Chattahoochee River from 1844, called “Lover’s Leap.” The engraving, almost 200 years old, is tattered and spotted — and *so* beautiful. I was inspired to make this the canvas for a romantic and classic pose from Vilidian. I fell in love with the curve of her back and the braid in her hair and the pink in her toes :) I especially loved the draping over her chaise (and continued painting this part in my dreams).
