To My Love

To My Love

$5,500.00

I painted figure, rendered in acrylic, on a collage of antique Valentines, gathered over time and dating back to 1908. The historic cards have been softly whitewashed to create space for the figure, allowing their intricate lacework and delicate die-cut details to remain faintly visible beneath the surface.

At the heart of the composition is a torn, heart-shaped Valentine — a symbol of heartbreak. The figure cradles the fractured heart protectively, suggesting both vulnerability and devotion.
