The Problem with Right and Wrong

The Problem with Right and Wrong
$1,200.00
I painted a figure in gouache directly onto the open pages of an 1825 moral instruction book for young girls, Right and Wrong.
This work confronts the idea that virtue can be neatly categorized or assigned. By working on a 19th-century moral instruction book, I’m questioning inherited ideas of righteousness and how they’re learned, reinforced, and ultimately challenged.
