I acquired this antique football photo from a sports memorabilia auction in Ohio. From what I could find, these boys likely played together some time between 1904 and 1924 — based on their lack of pads and their branded turtleneck sweaters.

I repaired a single tear on the left side of the photo and was delighted to see that there was actually a slice in the negative, severing the shoulder of one boy and the cheek of another. I love photo scars like these.
