One hundred years ago, a zinc roofer was a prized position in Paris, where 80% of the roofs are covered in the material. A rare canvas, I painted a proud muse on the ID card of an old zinc worker. I like to imagine what Monsieur Georges Grizard may have daydreamed about on long days in the factory, or looking out over the rooftops of France.
